gA appoints Raul Katz as Director of Digital Transformation Initiative

Columbia University researcher and professor is a recognized leader in the field of global digitization

gA has the pleasure of announcing the appointment of Dr. Raul Katz as Director of the gA Center for Digital Transformation.

This institute has been researching the fundamental changes at companies and public administrations in Latin America, as a result of the digitization of the consumer experience, and increasingly in operations, organization and production processes. Raul Katz will also head the Digital Strategy consulting practice at gA, working closely with Latin American corporations shaping their digital transformation agenda and initiatives.

A recent report produced by the gA Center for Digital Transformation has found that the productivity gains in Latin American companies driven by Digitization are lower than those in the Northern hemisphere.

“We believe that digitization not only changes the way companies compete and perform”, says gA Founder and CEO Roberto Wagmaister, “but also fundamentally transforms corporate culture and the interpersonal dynamics within them.”

Dr. Katz is Adjunct Professor in the Division of Economics and Finance at the Columbia Business School, and the Director of Business Strategy Research at Columbia University’s Columbia Institute for Tele-Information, and President of Telecom Advisory Services LLC. Raul was formerly a partner at Booz Allen & Hamilton for 20 years, and today is a recognized leader in the field of digitization, having published several books and articles. He has advised several national governments in the development of policy and regulatory frameworks in the field of Digitization.
